Gratis certificates
Gratis issues its own certificates for the assessments and courses it runs. Each one carries a unique number and a QR code, so a college, employer or family member can check it on this website in seconds.

Assessed at the Gratis centre
Listening, reading, writing and speaking, assessed at the Gratis centre and scored on the familiar 0 to 9 band scale. Useful as proof of your current level for employers, colleges and your own planning.
Awarded on completing the course
Awarded when you complete the 8-week Spoken English programme, with your Entry and Exit Diagnostic showing how far you have come.
Proof of the level you reached in an assessment run by Gratis, or that you completed a Gratis course. It shows your name, photo, scores, issue date and validity.
It is not an IELTS, PTE, CELPIP, TOEFL or TCF score report, and it does not replace one. Universities and visa authorities that ask for those tests need the official result.
Numbers end in a check character that catches typing mistakes, and the verification page shows whether a certificate is valid, expired or withdrawn.

Go to Verify a certificate and enter the certificate number and the candidate’s surname, or scan the QR code printed on the certificate with a phone camera.
It depends on the certification. The validity is printed on the certificate and shown on the verification page. Course completion certificates do not expire.
Your name is taken from your ID when you register, and it is locked once a certificate is issued. If there is a mistake, contact us. We will correct the record and issue a new certificate; the old one will show as withdrawn.
Yes. If a certificate was issued in error, Gratis can withdraw it. The verification page then shows it as revoked, with the date.
